Runner Profile – the British invasion

The Brits get everywhere – yeah we know. We know they’re all a bit weird. We know they like tea, cucumber sandwiches and warm beer. But did you know we have two run4nachos-shirt-wearing members living there? These guys break the mould, they run, do yoga and drink green juice. Say what? Yep …. meet James and Tamsyn.

James

James is the manager of the Apple Store in the historic city of Bath, Somerset, England.
In his spare time James is very active in the yoga scene and is currently training to be a yoga teacher. Once qualified he intends to take classes under his own brand, Alchemy Yoga.
James really got the fitness bug after competing in his first sprint-triathlon 18 months ago, he trained hard on his bike, in the water as well as the road, and did brilliantly. Since then he’s completed a 1/2 marathon and has continued his training and fitness regime.

Tamsyn

Tams is head of training and internal communications at the Zizzi Restaurant chain in the UK. She is very health and fitness conscious and shares many recipes and healthy eating tips on her Alchemy Kitchen facebook page.
Last year she completed the 3 Peaks Challenge which involves climbing the tallest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. She did this as part of her restaurant team in aid of Cancer Research UK. This year Tams has also entered two 5k races, again on behalf of Cancer Research.

Later this year the two of them are going to compete in an Above & Beyond event in Cornwall. This event is like a Tough Mudder and is run over an 8k muddy course.

So there you have it. These guys are pretty active and are now the proud owners of shirts of the lime shock variety. Well done you two, we’re really looking forward to plenty of photos of you guys flying the run4nachos UK flag 🙂
